Meanwhile, I'm thinking of topics today. Here's what I have so far:
- Bikes. Types and selecting
- Simple Repairs and Maintenance
- Safety. Including helmets and lights
- Accessories. The things that make the ride nice, or why do cyclists wear weird shorts?
- Philosophy. Sometime ago, I developed a philosophical underpinning or justification for my habits. I call it the Local Lifestyle.
- The Ride. I may not be able to include this due to cold weather. But, if I can, I want to show how well the Schulkyll River paths connect two major parts of the region. I might already have pictures of Forbidden Drive, one of the Philly Park System's best kept secrets. And, if I can, I'll show the Valley Forge Trail. Some of this might have to wait til spring really gets going. I hope to keep maintaining this site after class.

i don't know if apache server side includes are supported, but these guys should be able to help you.
Dear Lucha,
Wow, I am impressed by your 20 year history with the bike. I too commute by bike -- both out preference and economy. I am confident I will learn a lot about biking and the culture of biking. I mean, for someone who rides everywhere and is super attached to her 1980 Nishiki, I am actually quite naive about bikes and such. Though, this naivite may stem from my lack of resource -- that is, I always imagine that I will learn more about bikes, bike repair, and bike paths when I will have more time and money. In fact, if I had more money and space, I would likely have several bikes, including a mountain bike for tackling those amazing Wissahickon trails.
Again, I hope you manage to get some incredible graphics up. I am curious.
Thank you,
Lisa
Thank you for including some stuff on simple repairs. It will be appreciated! I only know a tiny bit about Apache & no knowledge regarding your question.
I like your longish critiques about what you plan to do with your blog format-wise. It is helpful to me as a fellow blogger and as a first-time web site creator.

Your topic is much more interesting than mine. The information you will offer must be very useful for me, because I always ride bike to commute. And I especially want to learn how to repair bike from you. When my bike is broken, I can do nothing.
Look forward to seeing your final website.

You know that Lucha means fight in Spanish right? What connection does your website provide?
